Wine Tasting Events Business Plan & Project Report – Renub Research

Wine Tasting Events Business Plan Report Summary

Renub Research’s Wine Tasting Events Business Plan and Project Report provides a comprehensive framework for establishing and operating a professional wine tasting events business. The study combines global wine industry analysis with business-model assessment, operational planning, venue requirements, procurement, staffing, marketing, technology, regulatory considerations, and project economics.

The global wine market was valued at approximately US$ 447.02 billion in 2025 and is projected to reach US$ 650.71 billion in 2034, registering a CAGR of 4.26% during the forecast period. The expanding wine culture, premium beverage consumption, experiential hospitality, culinary tourism, private celebrations, and corporate entertainment are creating opportunities for professionally organized wine tasting experiences.

The report is designed for entrepreneurs, hospitality operators, event-management companies, wineries, wine distributors, investors, tourism businesses, and food and beverage professionals seeking to assess the feasibility of launching or expanding wine tasting event services.

What are Wine Tasting Events?

Wine tasting events are curated experiences where participants sample and explore different wines while learning about grape varieties, production techniques, regional characteristics, aromas, flavors, and food pairings. Events may be organized in wineries, restaurants, hotels, private venues, hospitality establishments, corporate locations, or specially designed event spaces.

Depending on the business model, experiences can range from guided educational tastings and premium wine showcases to corporate gatherings, private celebrations, themed tasting sessions, wine-and-food pairing events, and destination-based experiences.

Professional wine tasting businesses create value by combining wine selection with knowledgeable hosts, sommeliers, attractive presentation, hospitality, venue design, entertainment, and personalized customer engagement. Strategic relationships with wineries, distributors, restaurants, hotels, tourism companies, and corporate organizations can further strengthen the business model.

Wine Tasting Events Business Setup

Establishing a wine tasting events business requires coordination across wine procurement, venue management, event planning, hospitality, marketing, technology, staffing, and regulatory compliance. The business should establish a clear service proposition and revenue model while maintaining consistent quality across every event.

Renub Research’s report examines the complete setup requirements, including:

• Business model development
• Event formats and service offerings
• Venue selection
• Wine procurement
• Winery and distributor partnerships
• Event infrastructure
• Equipment and glassware
• Ticketing systems
• Marketing and promotion
• Staffing and wine expertise
• Customer relationship management
• Licensing and permits
• Financial planning

Global Wine Market Outlook

The global wine industry provides the underlying market environment for wine tasting experiences. Health-conscious consumers, especially millennials and Generation Z, are seeking moderation without total abstinence, which is driving up demand for low- and no-alcohol wines. In response, European producers have made investments in dealcoholisation techniques including vacuum distillation and reverse osmosis, which maintain varietal character while lowering alcohol by volume to 0.5% or less. Regulatory clarity is still uneven, though. While the European Union imposes higher criteria under its wine common market organization, the TTB in the United States allows "non-alcoholic wine" labelling for items under 0.5% ABV.

In addition to addressing new countries where traditional wine consumption is restricted by cultural or religious constraints, this category development creates prospects for further volume growth in the Middle East and certain regions of Asia-Pacific. As noted in the Treasury Wine Estates Investor Presentation 2025, producers like Treasury Wine Estates have launched specialized NoLo sub-brands, indicating that this market has changed from an experimental to a strategic growth sector.

Renub Research analyzes the broader wine market through market performance, drivers, challenges, emerging trends, product categories, end users, geographic markets, and competitive developments.

The study evaluates how developments in premium wine consumption, hospitality, tourism, dining culture, experiential entertainment, and consumer preferences can create opportunities for businesses offering curated wine experiences.

Current Developments in the Industry

• Resurrection Brands, a sales and marketing firm that represents family-owned wineries like McManis Family Vineyards, Provenance Brands, and LangeTwins Family Winery & Vineyards, was acquired by Bronco Wine Co. in June 2026. The agreement strengthens Bronco's capacity to scale premium and boutique labels through wholesale channels by increasing its national representation and route-to-market capabilities.
• In April 2026, Pernod Ricard sold Trinchero Family Wine and Spirits all of its Momm sparkling wine operations in the US, including Momm Sparkling California, Momm Napa, and DVX. By transferring well-known brands and manufacturing facilities to a specialized wine operator, the deal modifies competitive stance in US sparkling wine while assisting Pernod Ricard in streamlining its portfolio.

Wine Market Performance and Industry Dynamics

Wine demand is influenced by consumer purchasing patterns, premiumization, hospitality activity, tourism, disposable income, changing lifestyles, and evolving preferences for quality and differentiated experiences.

The market assessment considers the relationship between wine consumption and the development of complementary experiences such as wine tourism, tasting rooms, culinary events, private tastings, corporate hospitality, and destination experiences.

Price positioning also plays an important role. Businesses can develop different event tiers, ranging from accessible introductory tastings to premium experiences featuring rare, limited-production, or high-value wines.
